What amazes me is that the barn looks sooo old and run down and yet they put a brand new roof on it and the smaller barn. Goes to show that even though it looks old the wood may still be good. What talent it must take to put a name on the roof like that and get it perfectly centered in white shingles on both sides..etc. I guess there are roofers and then there are professionals that know their business. This barn and property has been there a long time and so I am sure the family is proud of it. There was snow as of Saturday but now the rain and temps rose so today the field is brown.

That is one impressive paint job of the Bailey roof. Wonder if it is a family name or even the whiskey name:-) The show on the ground really does set off the green roofed buildings. genie
That's a really nice roof & great 'Bailey' paint job!
I say this all the time, but I'd love to explore inside all these old barns... they're fascinating to me!
Thank you for joining =)
Great barn! I'm impressed by the name on that roof too.
Thanks for stopping at my blog. I live in Allendale - Ottawa county, not too far from you. :)
NOT PAINT Genie.. those are special white shingles intermingled. I guess I should've explained that too. ;-)
@Mari Nice to meet another Michigander!!
Good looking barns and the roof job is wonderful. That does take a bit of talent. The roof and foundation are the most important parts of any building, and redoing the roof first makes sense. It'll keep the rest from deteriorating more. Maybe it will get a new paint job as the weather warms up.
Awesome barn Sis. That type of barn is very unique.

That is soooo cool! What a super find!
What an appropriate barn for March and St. Patty's Day! LOVE the lettering on the roof! Great find!
That is one cool roof! Love the green with the white lettering.
but that looks so cool from the sky. flying overhead. ( :
That is beautiful! Maybe they'll work on the rest of the building next.
Thoses new roofs will help preserve the barn! Great shots! : )
I guess the they'd better hope the rain never falls at an angle...that or that all in the barn is water proof!
Neat barn! Love the roof.
My barn charm for this week;

I love roof art! I don't understand how they get it done without making a big mistake.
