MY SUMMER BARN

I added a photo of my summer barn here. There are some really nice photos of all kind of Charming Barns.
This barn belongs to my sister. I took a photo this summer of the vine that crept all over the side of it. I just love old barns..it always makes me wonder who built them and what they kept inside and how long it has been around. My Grandfather had a dairy farm in Tennessee and he took us out in the barn many times to help with the milking. I loved watching him work. My were those milk cans heavy when full. Ahhh the memories...

Gorgeous photo! It's a nice touch of color in the midst of the cold of winter.

This photo just captures a summer day! My childhood home was across the highway from a dairy barn. I used to ride on the tractor to "bring the cows in" for milking in the afternoons. I can still remember the smell of the inside of that dairy barn!
Thanks for the memories - I'm visiting from Barn Charm.

Okay, let's try this again - this photo captures a summer day! I lived across the highway from a dairy barn when I was growing up, and used to ride on the tractor to "bring the cows" in for milking.
Thanks for the memories!

I LOVE old barns, I used to explore the dusty cobwebbed places. Always strange metal old fashioned treasures like hinges and knobs..
I would sneak into neighbor's barns when it would start to rain

Oh, I'm so glad you joined in on Barn Charm! This is such a fantastic photo!!! The light shining in speckles on the vine...so lovely...and, like you, I love old barns!!! I guess because my grandfather had an old barn out in back of his house...he wasn't on a farm...in the middle of town....why there was an old barn there, I don't know. I wish I had a picture of it. There were honeysuckle vines growing on his. We used to pull out the stems and suck off the nectar...yummy!

I was looking at the vine in the photo below...looks like Virginia creeper.

Like these shots...both Virginia creeper and poison ivy get just beautiful in the fall.
