FALL BACK..do I like it?? NO..not really.. I love the long days of summertime.I can do so much more in a day with them longer. Some get up early for work in the dark and now they come home in the dark. It's a sign of winter coming so I guess we just get used to it. I remember that last year the fall was warmer and it was nice to have winter take it's time getting here. Wish it was that way always.
I feel for all those who lost so much in Hurricane Sandy..now that it will get darker earlier..it will be colder too. No heat and winter right around the corner. People during hurricane Katrina did not have to worry about SNOW and ICE hampering their recovery process. I know some places never did recover there, some may not in New York or New Jersey either. Losing everything is so hard and so many will have to start over again. I pray for those who need help and shelter..it will be a long hard winter.
The RED CROSS is taking donations..I know that is a good thing but I also know that sometimes it takes awhile for the funds and the help to get where it is going. I was so relieved to see the marathon cancelled and those supplies moved to where they can be used. When they knew this once in a lifetime storm was coming they should have cancelled it sooner. It sure makes me wonder though, with the elections coming, that the outcome could be accurate with so so many people NOT VOTING because they cannot get to the polls or have no poll to vote at. People are still in shock, reeling from the loss they have had and could care less about the election now. Will be interesting to see how it all comes out.

I'm with you on shorter days, who does like that? It's been fairly pleasant here but I know that can't last forever. Just when we feel bad about the cold just think of New York and New Jersey...yikes isn't that awful? I've heard of chaos there recently that adds to the misery and couldn't believe Bloomberg even considered a marathon...glad it didn't happen. I just hope the election goes without a debacle...we just don't need that.
I hate the time changes, Lets leave it one way or the other.
I hope you have a great weekend Sis!!

My cousing lives in Metarie, a suburb of New Orleans. Houses all around them were destroyed and theirs went untouched. They did lose a lake house though, and were just this year beginning to rebuild it when hurricane Isaac hit and tore down what they had begun....7 years later. It was devastating to them. So many people never returned to New Orleans and so never rebuilt. They had been bussed out and I guess just settled in wherever they were taken. People weren't bussed out in Sandy, were they? Have they had the looting that went on in New Orleans? I haven't seen much of the news.
I hate the time change. I wish they would just leave it one way or the other. It's so hard to get adjusted and then when you do, they go and change it again.
I do go and vote, but have never really thought our votes counted that much anyway since the electoral college is the ones that actually pick the president. After all, Hillary won the popular vote. :)
Time change always throws me off for awhile. Terrible disaster, so sorry for all of those people, and you're right, winter is coming. I hope the election goes ok, it does seem unfair with so many not being able to vote.
I am SO messed up that I dont even know what DAY it is! screwed up when I take my meds too :P
I am very sad about those people freezing and homeless.
Thank you for understanding about my aunt's death & how some know about it long beforehand...
I agree..leave the time set where EVER they want it and stop messing with it.
I remember one year they canceled the time change. I don't remember why now but I do remember them doing it. I hope we don't see another storm like that for many years to come. Have a good night Sis!
