On my walk I passed a giant oak tree surrounded by a white picket fence. Inside the yard was a garden oasis and a swing waiting for it's next passenger. The tree was so large it took up one whole area in the backyard.
Tall and strong grows the mighty oak

That's a wonderful tree! Oak is not so common here but I have lived in places where it's more abundant...what a glorious tree in the fall!
Wonderful pictures Sis! I have a giant oak tree in my front yard too.
HUGS!!!!
Very nice picture Carol. I especially like the swing. Looks like something from the old days.
Mom has white oaks in her front yard and uses them to predict the weather. When the front yard has more acorns than grass it's time to break out the snow shovel because God's giving the squirrels plenty to hold them over until spring. This year she says she may need two snow shovels.....and a lot more squirrels!
We have a huge oak behine out garage, and a walnut in the front yard. Love the shade but the walnuts and acorns make for a messy yard. The pictures are beautiful. Just makes you want to get in and swing away.
Chip..I bet your mom is right. Nature has a way of taking care of itself and boy..plenty of food for the winter, well we had a bad enough one last year..hope it will taper off and have a nice FEB..We can dream I guess!
I love trees! I think I probably told you all that before haven't I lol.
Sis, I love the picture and even more, what you said in your description.
